Hitler’s trips through Belgium and France
On June 1 and 2, 1940 Hitler toured through Belgium and the northern parts of France to meet different army leaders and to visit sites Hitler knew from World War 1. At that time he spend most of the time at his FHQ Wolfsschlucht 1 in Belgium. On June 21 Hitler went to Compiègne where the French signed to surrender to the Germans. Two days later Hitler went for a short visit to Paris. On June 25 Hitler toured the Champagne region of France and on June 26 he went on a tour through Vlaanderen. After he returned to his German FHQ Tannenberg he went on one more trip through France: on June 30 in the Elzas area.
