Adolf Hitler was born in Austria, in a town called Braunau am Inn, near the Bavarian border. His family moved around a lot, so the young Adolf attended several schools, for instance the ones in Fischlham and Lambach. After moving to Leonding his father died. His mother got an apartment in Linz. Hitler had become a teenager. He met his friend August Kubizek in Linz. They often went to see Wagner at the opera house. Adolf and August also lived together in Vienna for a while. There Hitler was rejected by the Academy of Fine Arts twice.
